WRONG NUMBER, RIGHT GUY by Elle Casey Review

Downtown New Orleans is a dangerous place to be—unless the Bourbon Street Boys are on your side. A private security firm in the shadow of the local police, they patrol the bars and backstreets, doling out justice wherever people are in trouble. And if they should get the chance to mix business with a little pleasure along the way...well, so much the better.

Meet the Bourbon Street Boys in Elle Casey’s sexy contemporary romance WRONG NUMBER, RIGHT GUY.

About the Book

When a mysterious text message summons May Wexler to a biker bar in downtown New Orleans, she knows something is very wrong. Her sister has sent out an SOS, but when May gets there, she’s nowhere to be found and May is the one in trouble—she’s wearing pink espadrilles, she’s got a Chihuahua in her purse, and she’s in the middle of a shootout.

After tall, muscular Ozzie comes to her rescue, May has no choice but to follow him to safety. At the headquarters of his private security firm, the Bourbon Street Boys, she finds a refuge for the night—and the offer of a job. But it’s not long before a gun-toting stalker isn’t the only complication in May’s life: the more time she spends with Ozzie, the less she can deny that they’ve got some serious chemistry. A wrong number got her into this mess . . . Will it also get her the right guy?

REVIEW

Wrong Number, Right Guy

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I had the most fun reading this book.

May is a crazy gal yet totally relatable. She's a little awkward and sheltered but uses humor to cover it. I'm not usually as fond of the more naïve characters, but I adore May. I really enjoyed her inner monologues and interactions with her sister and dog. Felix, her dog, is très adorable.

Ozzie is not May's cup of tea in the beginning, but when she see's him in true form, it's a completely different experience. He's super sexy and muscular and in possession of a sweet sense of humor.

There are lots of great side characters, plenty of action and huge helpings of comedy. I was laughing out loud from May's silly antics. Of course it's also a romance and has its 'adult' times, but for me it was more about what May was going to stumble into next.

I will be continuing the series for sure. If you're looking for a light romcom pick-me-up, this is just what the doctor ordered.
