I turn my head. Holy fuck. At the door, he stands like a lost boy at an amusement park. He looks so out of place, this poor adorable guy. Dressed in a white button down with a loose black tie, a nest of spiky yellow hair hangs over his fretted, flushed face. Two beady blue eyes pour over the room, despondent, searching, sad. There’s something about him that resonates beyond the initial holy-fuck-he’s-cute thing, something deeper, something pure about him. He looks somehow … free from the grime of the city. He looks untouched. You can see it in his eyes, the feelings and the thoughts and the wonder. I’ve never been so instantly affected by someone’s presence alone. And I’ve been in hundreds of boys’ presences.

“Ouch,” I say, as if the sight of him just punched me in the face. It kinda did.

Daryl Banner is a writer and composer who graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Theatre and Psychology.

He does not write in any single genre, as his stories tend to span several. He is most inspired by the smart and unlikely hero, but urges you (the reader) not to fall in love with them; they may deceive you with their innocence. He is thrilled by putting his characters in terrible situations where they must face choices and challenges that seem impossible to overcome.

Daryl Banner writes contemporary fiction, sci-fi/fantasy (both in medieval and futuristic senses), unique takes on the apocalypse and paranormal romance genre, as well as magic realism. He cannot wait to hear what you think about his stories and welcomes (and responds to!) all feedback.

Interesting tidbits: Daryl is also an obsessive piano player, video game enthusiast, and occasional actor. He's been remixing video game music for over fifteen years, and is a passionate Final Fantasy fan. You can feed your ears with many of his remixes (as well as his original music) on his YouTube page "www.youtube.com/DarylBanner". Also, he personally answers all emails he receives, so if you have some strange desire to write him, he may enjoy it. He currently resides in Texas.

All Yours Tonight (The Brazen Boys, #5)

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 stars

All Yours Tonight is my favorite of the series. For me, the message is deep. Everyone is beautiful. Everyone is worth it.

Wes is a gay escort. His job is to fulfill fantasies, and he's great at it. In fact, it's practically an art form the way that he cares for others. The acts are physical, but really he's feeding each clients mental well-being, giving them a boost about how they feel about themselves. The problem is he's doing all the giving. It's all fun and games, but eventually his own psyche is going to need fed also.

Daryl Banner always has the most unique ways of telling a story. I love his style. If you're looking for role playing and sexcapades that will leave you feeling like you're going to be ok no matter where you're at in life, this is probably for you.
